Job Description

This position is responsible for performing secretarial and quasi-administrative tasks supportive to the activities of the Healthy Families Program. This position is responsible for performing clerical duties as a member of the team that provides services to individuals, families and various community agencies throughout Marion County. Cross training for other assignments may occur as job related activities dictate. There may be some traveling to other sites in Marion County.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in family counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, nursing or other related field with coursework including knowledge of infant and child development, parent- child attachment, family-centered and strength-based service provision, knowledge of maternal-infant health, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect.  Three to five years of previous experience of progressively responsible position in a human service field with supervisory and/or clinical experience preferred.  Experience in providing services to culturally diverse patients and personnel.  Experience in home visitation with a strong background in prevention services in the 0-3 age population preferred.  Previous experience as a Family Support Specialist, Family Resource Specialist, or Supervisor with a Healthy Families Program preferred.  One to three years of previous experience working with a variety of software and/or data entry systems.
