Job Description

The Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the windows environment and the system infrastructure from the desktop to the wiring closet, upgrading and providing support for clients, software, hardware and networks. The Windows Systems Administrator needs the skill to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be available to respond to service desk requests after hours.

The individual must be able easily to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in the corporate data center, other groups within the CIS department and clients to help solve their technical issues.

The individual should be able to apply significant knowledge of IT trends and developments to improve service to the employees of the Health & Hospital Corporation and the Marion County Public Health Department. This position requires an individual who is a highly motivated, energetic self-starter that needs minimal supervision.

Job Requirements

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A combination of computer-related technical training and successively increasing information systems management responsibility may substitute for degree. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible, related work experience, a valid Indiana driver’s license and access to own vehicle for in-county travel. Microsoft Certifications preferred.
